"Forgiveness" short film casting

Casting call :

-ROLE#1 : male (mid to late 20s) : egyptian (middle eastern), this character faces personal challenges, turns to the local imam for guidance. LEAD ROLE.

-ROLE#2 : male (mid 40s or older) : middle eastern, this character is the local imam, criticized for being too moderate and for giving pro- inter-faith speeches, he receives the visit of a young man in need of help. LEAD ROLE.

-ROLES #3 & 4 : 2 males (mid 30s or older) any ethnicities, none speaking parts. Believe in a very strict application of islamic principles, rather conservative but not hard liners or extremists.

-VARIOUS background performers, of all ages, male and female, preferably muslims or of immigrant descent. (Indonesian, Indian, Pakistanese, African, middle eastern, etc)

FILM DESCRIPT :

This is a short film, actually a scene taken from a feature film script, that will serve as a pilot or preview of the actual full lenght film. It’s the story of a young muslim man who struggles to create a normal life for himself in a western society.

The parts are not paid, but there is a possibility of participating in the feature lenght version which will be funded properly, should the short film be successful.

Shooting needs to take place in winter, so a few weeks from now top. Please respond if interested, providing your contact info and headshot. NON-ACTRA only!
